But the film has managed to get a rare honor. According to reports, it has been nominated at the 17th Taurus World Stunt Awards 2018 under the Best Action in a Foreign Film category. The festival began on May 12 in Los Angeles and the results would be declared on May 18. Hello would be competing with action films from various countries including Spain, China, Russia and Germany, we hear from sources. Hello is an action entertainer with oodles of stunt sequences that have been choreographed by Hollywood stunt director Bob Brown, who had worked in films such as XXX: Return of Xander Cage, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. The film, which has been directed by Vikram K Kumar, has been bankrolled by Nagarjuna under his banner Annapurna Studios. The film has Akhil Akkineni playing the male lead with director Priyadarshan’s daughter Kalyani making her acting debut as heroine. Anup Rubens had composed music for this venture with Ps Vinod cranking the camera and Pawin Pudi editing it. Those in the supporting roles in Hello are Jagapati Babu, Ramya Krishna, Ajay, Satya Krishnan, Anish Kuruvilla, Vennela Kishore and Posani Krishna Murali. The film hit the silver screens on December 22 last year. According to trade reports, Hello managed to gross Rs 25.05 crore worldwide within four days of its release, with a distributor share of Rs 14.38 crore. The collections from Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in four days were approximately Rs 15.75 crore with a share of Rs 10.1 crore. On completion, the film collected a share of Rs17 to 20 crores share approximately. Recently, Akhil Akkineni’s third film went on to the floors with the official Pooja. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film is touted to be a romantic entertainer. The untitled film will be bankrolled by Bvsn Prasad under his banner Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. This has triggered off expectations about his next film and we hear from sources that the star has been listening to a couple of scripts and will be finalising one of it on January 5. The young star also pointed out that a formal announcement about the project he had chosen, will be made on January 10. Akhil Akkineni’s debut movie Akhil failed at the box office following which Hello was announced as his relaunch. Directed by Vikram K Kumar of Manam fame, it was produced by Akhil’s dad and popular actor – producer Nagarjuna. Speaking about the failure of Akhil and shouldering the entire responsibility for its failure, Akhil had said that he had decided on the script and his father had nothing to do with. The youngster also pointed out that he saw the film repeatedly to gauge what went wrong and how to improve further. The Hello star revealed that he will be watching his recent release on a repeat mode as well to look out for areas of improvement. Hello, directed by Vikram Kumar had Akhil in the lead role with Kalyani Priyadarshan making her debut as the female lead. It may be mentioned here that she is the daughter of director Priyadarshan and actor Lissy. The star cast also included Jagapati Babu, Ramya Krishna, Ajay, Satya Krishnan, and Anish Kuruvilla. Anup Rubens has composed music for this flick and the album comprises a song crooned by Akhil Akkineni. According to reports, the film’s total collection in Andhra and Telangana region for the first weekend happens to be Rs. 7.66 crore and its total worldwide collections is Rs. 10.6 crore.
