So, all we’ll say is Radcliffe portrays a former U.S. Air Force pilot, a man who begrudgingly finds himself smuggling drugs for the cartel. We had the opportunity to briefly chat with Radcliffe regarding his newest release. ScreenAnarchy: Taking a look...

Daniel Radcliffe’s A Drug-Running Pilot In Beast Of Burden Trailer

Post-Potter life has been fairly kind to Daniel Radcliffe.

From battling The Woman in Black to infiltrating a neo-Nazi sect in Imperium, not to mention the wholly irreverent Swiss Army Man, the former Boy Who Lived has consistently strayed outside his comfort zone in order to approach weird, wonderful, and often compelling roles. And Beast of Burden is yet another interesting feather in Radcliffe’s hat.

The film sees the actor playing Sean Haggerty, a “drug-running pilot who teams with the DEA to bring down the cartel on the promise of medical treatment for his ailing wife.” While it’s supposed to be his “last job,” things don’t go according to plan and he finds himself in an extremely tricky situation. It might be a bit of a generic premise, yes, but judging from this first trailer, which can be seen above, Radcliffe looks to have picked another

Beast Of Burden Trailer: Daniel Radcliffe, Drug Runner, Flies Into Trouble

The conclusion of the Harry Potter film series freed up Daniel Radcliffe to be whatever he wanted to be as an actor and I've enjoyed much of what he's done since, even if the film itself wasn't always successful. The Woman in Black, Kill Your Darlings, Horns, What If, Swiss Army Man and last year's Jungle rise to the top for me.  So even though Beast of Burden sounds, on first blush, kinda like the Tom Cruise vehicle American Made -- big star flies a plane on daring drug mission -- the dramatic tone and darker atmosphere sets it apart, as is evident in the first trailer.  The synopsis is succint: "Pilot Sean Haggerty (Daniel Radcliffe) must deliver cocaine across the Us-Mexico border for his final...

Naturally, Sean's last job turns into a nightmare when nothing goes to plan, and he has to chose between his allegiance to the cartel, his deal …
