Adam Karsten

Adam Karsten is a director, writer, and producer who is known for his work on Live From Lincoln Center, Not So Hilarious Anymore, and Resistdance. Adam began making films when he was 9 years old in his backyard in Pittsburgh after discovering that the legendary 'Bigfoot Monster' lived across the street. In his first movie he revealed this was not actually the case and was therefore compelled to continue creating movies on the many mysteries of life. Although Adam spent most of his early childhood growing up in the home of the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers. His father was a prolific writer for military history and the family traveled the world extensively. Because of this, Adam grew up living in Portugal, Ireland, England, Germany and the United States.

While in Ireland at the age of 10, Adam spent ample time at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin (also known as the National Theatre of Ireland). As a result, he became engrossed in the theatrical arts and upon his return to Pittsburgh Adam began working on stage and televised productions with Don Brockett (Chef Brockett of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood). Adam continued his theatre arts education at Carnegie Mellon University and moved to New York City to work professionally. He performed across the US and Europe before transitioning to directing and is an avid supporter and producer of new works for the stage and screen. Adam co-founded the Conflict of Interest theatre company in downtown New York; was the artistic director for the oldest summer stock theater in Columbus, Ohio (Weathervane Playhouse); and is the co-artistic director for A2K Productions, LLC in NYC.

Adam resides in NYC with his director/choreographer wife Karen Sieber and their two children.
