Christopher D. Gourlay has been involved with the Film and Television
Industry for over twenty years as a Writer, Producer, and Director.
While growing up in Hollywood, California Christopher spent most of his time on studio back-lots with his father, Scott Gourlay, an actor/stuntman who was featured in over thirty episodes of the television series, Emergency. As a kid, Christopher's father helped him pursue a career as a child actor. At the age of six he joined an acting class, and was even featured on the Dinah Shore Show. Christopher continued his quest for success and eventually got a commercial, as well as a few table reads.
In early 2006, he Produced the independent feature film, Happy Holidays and was Line Producer for the film One Of Our Own, Starring Mathew Lillard, Kate Beahan, Claire Rankin and Josh Randal. Christopher has worked for a variety of different television networks, A&E Networks (Stars of the Studios Back-Lots, Rock Legends Week with Graham Nash, Hollywood Confidential with Peter Graves, Superstar Designers with Cindy Crawford), The History Channel, Nickelodeon, and MTV, facilitating shoots both big and small in the Los Angeles area as well as other parts of the continental United States. He has completed both regional and national commercials for advertising agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi, Deutsch, J. Walter Thompson, Chiat/Day, Grey Advertising and The Cimarron Group. He also wrote and directed the musical special titled Kitaro's An Enchanted Evening Vol. II for PBS, which aired in 123 markets across the U.S.
In the last few years, Christopher completed projects such as Custom Choppers Building Dreams for Zhorgiann Productions, now CDG Productions, The Millennium News Report for Winkler Productions and others. He also served as Line Producer for Live by Request with Earth, Wind and Fire; Comedy Week with Phyllis Diller; Monty Python Week with Eric Idle, all for the A&E Networks. In 1999 Christopher Produced behind-the-scenes concert footage of the world-famous Ozzfest Tour for Ozzy and Sharon Osborne's company, Here We Go Again Productions. He spent four week traveling from city to city capturing the rock and roll of Ozzfest.
His latest project is a feature film titled, Curiosity Kills, which will be produced by CDG Productions and Wild Horse Productions and distributed by Imageworks Entertainment International. Christopher wrote the screenplay, and is slated to direct this suspense-filled thriller that has the treasure-hunting adventure aspect of the successful film National Treasure mixed with a touch of horror.
