On February 21, 2007, Manu set a Spurs franchise record with 24
straight points against the Atlanta Hawks.
Ginobili is the only basketball player ever to win a Euroleague, an NBA
ring, and an Olympic Gold medal.
Ginobili comes from a basketball family. Older brothers Sebastián and
Leandro have played professionally in Argentina and Spain respectively.
Their father, Jorge, was a coach at a club in Bahía Blanca, where
Ginóbili learned to play.
Manu is left handed and uses this to his advantage frequently when
driving to the hoop.
He was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in the 1999 NBA Draft, late in
the second round with the 57th overall pick.
