Sandra Avila is the President of Avila Entertainment, a production company focused on English-language Latino content for the U.S. market. Under her own banner, she produced Endgame (starring Rico Rodriguez) which had it's TV premiere on HBO July 2016 and Table Manners (starring Monica Barbaro) an independent pilot directed by Angel Gracia and the short film, Trust Love. Previously, she was the head of TV and micro-budget projects for Maya Entertainment, a feature film & TV distribution company. While there, she helped develop a 7-hr. mini-series Rain of Gold, co-executive produced One Hot Summer for Lifetime and wrapped two indie comedies, Harlem Hostel (starring Ramon Rodriguez) and Taco Shop (starring Tyler Posey). Prior to Maya, she worked for seven years in TV development at Showtime Network where she oversaw the Latino Filmmaker Showcase, as well. Avila holds a JD from Loyola Law School.
