Tim Realbuto Honors Shaiman & Wittman in Live In Living Color at the Beechman Tonight

After his critically acclaimed and sold-out concert honoring composer Maury Yeston, singersongwriter Tim Realbuto Ghostlight Wunderkind returns to the concert stage to honor more of his favorite composers with 'Tim Realbuto Live In Living Color', an evening celebrating the songwriting duo of Marc Shamian and Scott Wittman, who are responsible for hits such as Hairspray and Catch Me If You Can. The June 9th concert event will take place at 700 Pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre 407 West 42nd Street, NYC and promises to feature Realbuto's interpretation of many of Shaiman and Wittman's biggest hits.

Tim Realbuto and Jenna Leigh Green have announced the next leg of submissions for their Wunderkind songwriting competition. Writers are encouraged to submit original material to be performed at each stop on Realbuto's Wunderkind tour. The next performance is on Monday, October 13th at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The winner of the last contest was Andrew J. Hanley pictured here with Green and Realbuto, whose song 'Love Me' was performed at Realbuto's Triad show on September 1st.

As previously reported, the highly buzzed about musical Ghostlight, by popular up-and-comers Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto, presented an industry reading on Monday, January 13th at Theater Three on West 43rd Street, following two highly-attended backer's auditions on December 2nd at The New 42nd Street Studios. Kevin Lambert Broadway's Godspell presented the January 13th reading, which was directed by Realbuto and Martin and featured a starstudded 18 person cast, including Drama League nominee and Great Comet star Phillipa Soo, three time Tony nominee Carolee Carmello, Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli, Jennifer Hope Wills, Kimberly Faye Greenberg, Trevor McQueen, and Abigail Ludrof. Alison Holman Freedom's Song provided the musical direction.

This is one of the first times a new musical has added another presentation nearly a month after its first one. Robert Cuccioli Set to Play 'Florenz Ziegfeld' in Ghostlight Reading

Robert Cuccioli, the Tony nominated star of Jekyll and Hyde, will play Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr. in an upcoming industry reading of the musical Ghostlight. Ghostlight, which has book, music and lyrics by Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto, tells the true story of Ziegfeld Follies girl and silent film star Olive Thomas, her rise to fame in the Follies alongside Fanny Brice, her affair with a married Ziegfeld, her Hollywood marriage to movie star Jack Pickford, and ultimately her tragic downfall which led to her mysterious death at age 25 in Paris.
