Tim Realbuto was born and raised in New York City, where he got his start in theatre. His extensive list of theatrical credits include leading roles in Off-Broadway plays and musicals, including 'Lost In Yonkers' (Broadway World Award nomination), 'The Weak Ones' (Thespis Award nominee for Best New Play), 'Assassins', 'The Shape of Things' (alongside Tony Award winner Lena Hall), 'The Glass Menagerie' (starring opposite Emily Skinner and Erika Henningsen), 'The Wrong Box', and 'Mean: the musical' written by Grammy Award winning pop icon P!nk. However, he is most known for his film work.

Realbuto broke a world record, losing 154 pounds (the most any actor ever has for a film role) to play the title character in 'Bobcat Moretti' opposite Vivica A. Fox, Taryn Manning, and Academy Award nominee Sally Kirkland. The film will be released in cinemas from Different Duck Films and The Stonecutter Group in June of 2023. During it's festival run, Tim won the Best Actor Award for his performance at the Mentone Film Festival.

For his work in the motion picture 'Yes', Realbuto won The Hollywood Moving Image Award, the IndieFest Award, the Los Angeles Independent Film Award, the Beaufort Film Society Award, the Action on Film Award, the Onrios Award, Finland's Artist Award, and London's Falcon Award - all for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

Upcoming feature films include: 'Werewolf Game' (opposite Tony Todd, Robert Picardo, and Bai Ling) and 'In Fidelity' (starring alongside Chris Parnell, Cara Buono, Dennis Haysbert, Willow Shields, and Ileana Douglas).

He has signed onto several more projects filming in 2023 and 2024, including the independent drama 'Fruit of Our Womb' and the title role in 'The Many Lives of Toby Dawson.'

Tim is also an accomplished screenwriter, playwright, composer/lyricist, and concert performer. He holds a BFA in Acting from Five Towns College and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

  • Trivia
Was asked by Oscar winner Kevin Kline to sit in the back of the room in costume during the filming of certain classroom scenes in "The Emperor's Club" when the other actors were dismissed and the camera was focused only on Kline. Kline told director Michael Hoffman that Tim's focus and acting skills gave him inspiration during the classroom speeches.
  • Quotes
"I actually almost turned down my role in The Emperor's Club. It was between the film and a play that I wanted to do. Ultimately, I definitely made the right decision. Working with Kevin Kline was like a master class in acting. He is the most amazing actor and person, truly one of the smartest people I've ever met. I cherish every moment that I spent on that set."
