Jennifer Peralta-Ajemian is a Casting Director and Filmmaker with nearly two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. Raised in a multicultural environment that celebrated both leadership and the arts, Jennifer cultivated a global vision shaped by an artistic perspective. With a background as a ballet dancer and over a decade assisting veteran talent agents and casting directors, she recognized the need for more authenticity and inclusion in audiovisual storytelling.
In 2014, Jennifer founded JPA Casting to elevate historically underestimated voices across all screens. Her work has received recognition from prestigious film festivals, organizations, and shows, including the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Austin Film Festival, the New York Latino Film Festival, SXSW, Tribeca, the New York Emmys, The New York Times, and both the "Ellen" and "Today" shows.
Seeing a persistent gap in the investment toward stories from overlooked communities, Jennifer expanded her efforts by launching a creative studio dedicated to reconstructing narratives and amplifying voices that deserve greater visibility.
From 2004 to 2013, Jennifer honed her skills at talent agencies Henderson Hogan and CESD, and worked alongside veteran casting directors Avy Kaufman, Bernard Telsey, Cindy Tolan, and Liz Lewis.
Jennifer's commitment to fostering inclusion extends to her work as a Jury Member for the Socially Relevant Film Festival and the Burbank International Film Festival. She has also shared her expertise on industry panels hosted by Glass Elevator, Film Fatales, and the Globescreen Conference, and as a guest on podcasts such as The Purpose Made and Represent Now, discussing the importance of authenticity and representation.
