Fraser Maitland is a Scottish composer for film and television. A finalist in the BBC 'Young Composer of the Year' series, his works have been performed by a variety of internationally acclaimed orchestras. He is an experienced orchestrator / arranger of works in a variety of different styles; with works broadcast on prime-time major networks across the U.K., U.S., Europe and Asia.
Commissions ranging from live symphonic and studio recordings for film and television to theatre and videogame, Fraser's compositions range from intense, face-paced aggression to subtle emotional underscore.
A former student at the Royal Conservatoire, under Sir James MacMillan, his music fuses elements of classical training with cutting-edge electronics, rhythmic percussion and emotional instrumentation.
