Scott Smith(XXIII)

A seasoned veteran of the advertising world, Scott is an accomplished indie film director, whose first narrative feature film, "Chasing The Blues," won Best of Fest at the Lone Star Film Festival, Best Narrative Feature at the Crossroads Film Festival as well as screened at other major film festivals nationwide. His award-winning shorts have screened at several Academy Award qualifying festivals including SXSW, Tribeca, and Chicago International Film Festival. Scott was one of 3 director finalists in the third season of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's Project Greenlight, and named Best Director at Chicago Cinema Awards that same year. He is also the recipient of the Christopher Wetzel Award for comedy in film, and his short film "A Certain Breed" won top honors at the Short Cuts Awards/Chicago International Film Festival. Scott's first feature was the documentary "Being Bucky," which won best documentary at the Wisconsin Film Festival, and was distributed theatrically in the Midwest and aired on Public Television.
