Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, and Jamie Dornan Bring a Gritty Robin Hood to the Big Screen
Do you like roguish vigilantes? Or scenes that feature 50 arrows being shot at once in slow motion? How about dramatic dialogue like, "Who is he? He's all of us." If any of those things appeal to you, then good news: you're going to love Robin Hood.

The adaptation of the classic "steal from the rich, give to the poor" tale is getting a modern, gritty twist. This time around, the masked hero (Kingsman's Taron Egerton) is also a member of the upper class, making his off-hours heroism even more intriguing. Judging from the teaser trailer above, the Otto Bathurst-directed film is jam-packed with bloody battles, jaw-dropping fight choreography, and yes - a little romance with Maid Marian (Bridge of Spies's Eve Hewson).

Jamie Dornan also stars as Will Scarlet, while Jamie Foxx will appear as Robin Hood's mentor, Little John. As an added bonus, Ready Player One's

Robin Hood Trailer Arrives Starring Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx

Summit Entertainment has finally dropped the first trailer for Robin Hood, a prequel once known as Robin Hood: Origins, which takes the legendary robber back to his glory days, when he was just starting out. The movie stars Kingsman breakout Taron Egerton as the title hero, with Jamie Foxx arriving as his sidekick Little John. The movie looks action packed and period specific.

Are you ready for another revisionist take on Robin Hood? Ever couple of years, the old mythic adventure gets dusted off for a new generation. And it hasn't really been that long since director Ridley Scott tried his hand at turning the age-old story on its head with the 2010 movie of the same name, Robin Hood, which starred Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett. It's been eight years, now millennials have a Robin Hood to call their own.

This latest iteration comes from Summit Entertainment, and is aimed

‘Robin Hood’ First Trailer: Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx Put An Action-Packed Spin on the Legend

‘Robin Hood’ First Trailer: Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx Put An Action-Packed Spin on the Legend
Anyone who was let down by Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe’s 2010 “Robin Hood” and feels the hero deserves another chance on the big screen is in luck. Lionsgate has debuted the first trailer trailer for “Robin Hood,” directed by Otto Bathurst in his feature debut and starring Taron Edgerton and Jamie Foxx. Whereas Scott’s “Hood” was a war epic, Bathurst’s “Hood” looks like a rollicking action film inspired by Guy Ritchie.

Egerton, best known for his role leading in the “Kingsman” franchise, heads the cast as the titular bandit. Foxx plays Little John, one of Hood’s best friends and the leader of the Merry Men outlaws. Ben Mendelsohn stars as the villain, while “The Knick” breakout Eve Hewson plays Hood’s love interest, Maid Marian. Jamie Dornan, Josh Herdman, and Björn Bengtsson co-star.

With its over-the-top action scenes and mix of kinetic camera movements and dramatic slow-motion,

First Teaser Trailer for New 'Robin Hood' Movie Starring Taron Egerton

"You're not curious who's under the hood?" Lionsgate has debuted the first teaser trailer for the new Robin Hood movie, with the most original title yet - Robin Hood (which is the same title as the other recent one). If you haven't had enough Robin Hood, after Ridley Scott's failed Russell Crowe movie from 2010, then here's another fresh action-packed take for you. This Robin Hood stars Taron Egerton as Robin of Loxley, a "war-hardened Crusader" who fights against the corrupt English crown with his friend, Little John, played by Jamie Foxx. The cast includes Ben Mendelsohn, Eve Hewson, Tim Minchin, Björn Bengtsson, Ian Peck, and Jamie Dornan. This looks like way more of an Assassin's Creed movie than the Assassin's Creed movie did, and it also reminds me a lot of Guy Ritchie's action style. You might want to check this out. Here's the first teaser trailer (+ posters

Action-Packed Trailer For The New Robin Hood Movie with Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx

The first trailer and a couple new posters have been released for the upcoming new adaptation of Robin Hood. This offers you your first look at Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx in action as Robin Hood and Little John.

This is definitely a different kind of Robin Hood movie. The movie was directed by Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders) and you can tell that it was clearly influenced by the style of Guy Ritchie. It definitely has a gritty tone and it's got that fast-paced action mixed with slow-motion shots. One of the interesting aspects of it was the rapid-fire arrow shooting. When previously talking about the film, Foxx said:

"It’s different. It was directed by Otto Bathurst, who shot Peaky Blinders. The way they shot it was crazy, it looks like you’re watching Zero Dark Thirty. We’re shooting with our bows, but they computer-generated it so it’s rapid-fire,

The best known Robin Hood films are Prince of Thieves the one in which Kevin Costner starred in, Disney’s animated version and who can forget the Mel Brooks Men in Tights version? The most recent time the story came to the big screen was in 2010 which starred Russell Crowe. The legendary hero is once again getting his story told on the big screen but this time it stars Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx.
