Actress and filmmaker born in La Coruña, Spain. She graduated in
Environmental Chemistry and studied Violoncello at the Conservatory.
Her passion for Cinema, made her leave for Barcelona where she changed
her life and completed her education with Acting and Film Studies. She
receives a scholarship to study Film in Barcelona and to study Theatre
in New York. She attended masterclasses with Abbas Kiarostami, Martin Scorsese,
Asghar Farhadi, Victor Erice and Geena Davis.
For the past years, Alexia has been working in several facets of the Film / Advertising Industry
working both on major productions as in Theater and independent movies.
She combines her work as Director/Producer with teaching.
She created her own production company, Marineda Films.
As an actress she has been working in theatre and lyrical companies.
She is an activist of Gender Equality and a member of CIMA Mujeres Cineastas (Spanish Women Film Association).
From 2015, Alexia is Deputy Director of the European Women's Audiovisual Network-EWA.
Currently, she's preparing the fiction feature film "Trout singing at Dawn" (As Troitas cantan ao Mencer), to be shot in Summer 2017.
