Originally from McAllen, Texas, Yesenia García Herrington (she/her/ella) is an actress, theatre director, arts advocate, educator, and entrepreneur. She is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and The University of Texas at Austin M.F.A. Acting Program and the daughter of first-gen educated public school teachers and former migrant farm workers. Her arts advocacy work for the students of Austin ISD resulted in an invitation by former President Barack Obama to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the National Endowment of the Arts at The White House. She resides in Austin, Texas with her husband T. Herrington.
