- Actor
- Producer
- Director
Writer, producer, director, and actor Stephen Stonehas been performing
since his childhood. He has grown into an aspiring writer and director
with a unique vision on the future of film. Steve was born in Zaragoza,
Spain. Before he was enlightened that film would be his future his
mother, father and many friends knew what direction he would end up
taking. At the age of 13 he created his first short Front Yard Kung Fu
using one of his friend's VHS cameras. He made his public debut
producing and writing the primetime comedy variety show Senior Pato
Amarillo. He went on to produce, write, direct and star in many short
subject pieces most notably This Movie Sucks and Madness as well as
direct and produce the short subject documentary Carlsbad Fire
Department's Fireworks for the 4th. In December of 2000 his break into
legitimate feature work began when he was invited on to the set of the
feature Collecting Rooftops, here he honed his craft by working every
role in the production including first assistant director and second
unit director. This took the candlelight flame and turned it into a
bonfire that would never be extinguished. Many project concepts would
follow and two feature drafts. After taking a career hiatus to
concentrate on his second love he has returned to the writing and
directing scene partnering up with his friend Bill York forming
Entrapment films for the black comedy Get Your Hair Back and for a
myriad of feature film scripts and concepts to come. Concurrent with
his lifelong expression in film, is his lifelong expression in oil
painting. These dual passions allow him to move through the world with
a unique purpose and visionary focus.
