Nick DeSimone was born and raised in New York City and is extremely fortunate to have grown up surrounded by wonderfully colorful and charismatic characters, in an atmosphere of masterful story telling. Early on, his creativity manifested itself in music, becoming an accomplished drummer, piano player and composer. Feeling compelled to become an actor, after earning his B.A. Degree at The New School, Nick began serious and rigorous training, studying at some of New York's top theatre schools, such as The Neighborhood Playhouse, Herbert Berghof Studio, and Stetson Studio. It didn't take long for his professional acting career to take off, initially honing his skills with an impressive body of work in New York theatre, then spreading out into film, and has been working ever since. Nick, a dual citizen of the U.S. and Italy, is also a writer and filmmaker, and has recently finished his first film,Two Boroughs (2013) and is in preproduction for his second 'Written & Directed by" film, The Drum Set.

He is an accomplished drummer. In High School, his virtuoso skills won him a place in the All Shore Jazz band and Orchestral band. Also, he has played and toured in various professional bands.
Taught himself how to play piano.
Composes music, and one of his first jobs in New York City was writing the music and playing piano for a post-new wave cabaret show called 'City Surfin''.
Is a Dual-Citizen of U.S.A and Italy.
Cast his real-life grandfather, Sam Sciarretta, in his film Two Boroughs (2013). Mr. Sciarretta was born in 1909, making him 103 when he appeared in the film, playing an 82 year-old. Given the film was heavily based on something in Sciarretta's life, he played a character that was based on himself.
First job after High School was working for MTV and Nickelodeon.
Composed music for the New York City theatre group Arden Party.
Attended three different high schools in two states.
Played and toured in a band with White Zombie guitarist, Tom Five, who Kurt Cobain cited as a major influence.
