Larry Mitchell is an American television and film actor best known for his critically acclaimed turn as Joe Paterno's (Al Pacino) son, Jay Paterno, in the Emmy-nominated HBO Film: PATERNO, directed by Barry Levinson. Other highlights include his work with industry titans Jack Nicholson and Martin Scorsese in the Oscar-winning film The Departed, and work opposite Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott's Oscar-nominated film, American Gangster. Larry often appears on-stage in New York and has starred in multiple-award nominated indie feature films. He lives in New York with his wife and their dog Monkey.

Is a big fan of the original Muppet Show and Muppet Movies. Larry still has the "Animal" puppet from the 70's that he received with his first drum set at age 5.
For his work in Paterno, Larry's hair was dyed black for Jay Paterno. However, the company also dyed his eyebrows and eyelashes to ensure authenticity.
