Award winning Chilean filmmaker who began his experience as the director and producer of the short film "Gatos Placentarios" (2002), which was filmed in the city of Barcelona in 35mm. This short had a commercial premiere in Chile and took part in film festivals such as London, Huelva and Mar del Plata. In 2008 he directed and produced his debut feature length film "Desierto Sur". The film premiered at the 56th Festival Mannheim-Hiedelberg, where it obtained the Audience Award. During the following two years "Desierto Sur" has a successful run in the international film festival circuit where it is awarded several prizes. Shawn was also executive producer and co-writer of the film "Iglú" released in 2013. In 2015 he directed a series of branded content films called "Abortion tutorials" which won a bronze Lion at Cannes Lions. He is currently developing the feature films "Now They're Coming For Us" and "After Elena", and an undisclosed series for TV.
