Lgbtq Hollywood: 19 Stars Who’ve Come Out Since Last Year’s Pride Month (Photos)
Here are all the stars who have publicly joined the Lgbtq community since Pride 2017.

Former “Backstrom” and “The Secret Circle” star Thomas Dekker announced that he was gay in July 2017 in a Twitter (and Instagram) post which complained that he had been outed by a “Heroes” writer during an awards acceptance speech: “While it is an odd situation, I thank him because it presents a prime opportunity for me to publicly say that I am indeed a man who proudly loves other men. In fact, this April, I married my husband and I could not be happier.”

Singer and Ellen DeGeneres discovery Greyson Chance came out as gay in a July 2017 Instagram post.

Pop star Aaron Carter identified himself as bisexual in an August 2017 tweet that he later deleted. Months later, he said that his comments about his “experience with a male” when he was 17 had been “misconstrued.”

ABC Slays ‘Of Kings and Prophets’ After Just Two Episodes

ABC Slays ‘Of Kings and Prophets’ After Just Two Episodes
ABC has yanked freshman series “Of Kings and Prophets” from its schedule, Variety has learned. The cancellation comes after just two very low-rated episodes have aired.

The biblical drama premiered March 8 to a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall, falling off this week to an even lower 0.5 in the demo with just 2.4 million viewers.

The time slot left vacant by “Of Kings and Prophets” will be occupied by “Shark Tank’s” companion series “Beyond the Tank” starting next Tuesday, March 22, at 10 p.m.

The Tuesday 10 p.m. time slot has been troubled for ABC. Last November, the dark 1980s set drama “Wicked City” opened with a 0.9, fell to a 0.7 and was then pulled after hitting a minuscule 0.4 in its third outing. Previously, the slot had been home to “Forever,” which did okay, but was not renewed for a second season; “Killer Women”( in 2014), which was pulled after just

Film Review: ‘Those People’

Film Review: ‘Those People’
The privileged Manhattan milieu is reminiscent of early Whit Stillman, but the storyline is closer to “The Line of Beauty” or “Brideshead Revisited” — surely it’s no accident that the most troubled character here is named Sebastian — in “Those People.” Joey Kuhn’s feature debut is impressively polished, but its burnished surface is more highly worked than the unevenly satisfying drama beneath. This tale of unrequited love among young denizens of the Upper East Side should nonetheless prove a popular item on the gay fest circuit, with niche home format sales assured and limited theatrical exposure a possibility.

Charlie (Jonathan Gordon) is finishing art school, but he seems primarily occupied as usual with the needs of longtime best friend Sebastian (Jason Ralph), the fulcrum of a clique that also includes Ursula (Britt Lower), London (Meghann Fahy) and “token straight boy” Wyatt (Chris Conroy). Sebastian is a reckless party boy who

Shonda Rhimes' 'The Catch,' Biblical 'Of Kings an Prophets' lead ABC orders

  • Hitfix
And finally ABC is in the game!  The only network not to pick up a new series (and still the only network not to formally renew a single old series) jumped into the pre-upfronts excitement in a major way on Thursday afternoon, picking up six new dramas, several of which sound rather ambitious. Before going into depth, the basics: On Thursday (May 7) afternoon, ABC ordered the Biblical epic "Of Kings and Prophets" and the Shonda Rhimes-produced "The Catch," as well as "Wicked City" (formerly "L.A. Crime"), "The Family" (formerly Untitled Jenna Bans), "Quantico" and the Untitled Pate & Fishburne Project (formerly "Boom"). ABC no doubt has plenty more new series pickups to do ahead of the network's Tuesday, May 12 upfront presentation. Let's get to the details, because some of these new shows sound pretty interesting actually... *** "Of Kings and Prophets" comes from creators Adam Cooper & Bill Collage and it is

ABC Orders Six New Dramas Including Shondaland’s ‘The Catch’

ABC Orders Six New Dramas Including Shondaland’s ‘The Catch’
ABC has given the series greenlight to a half-dozen drama projects, ranging from a Biblical epic to an FBI 9/11 conspiracy vehicle to a long-con thriller from Shonda RhimesShondaland shop. All six of the series hail from ABC Studios or the ABC Signature production unit.

The orders reinforce ABC’s strategy of loading up on dramas with an eye toward some shows with shorter-episode orders to help refresh the schedule and avoid repeats of new and returning series. The emphasis on ABC-produced projects makes it clear that the Alphabet is looking for maximum control of the digital windowing strategies on its shows, an increasingly important factor for broadcasting networks.

The six dramas getting the nod for ABC’s 2015-16 slate so far:

“Of Kings & Prophets”

An epic Biblical saga of faith, ambition and betrayal as told through the eyes of a battle-weary king, a powerful and resentful prophet and a

Ad's Juan Pablo Di Pace on playing Jesus: 'I saw being crucified as something fun'

The sequel to TV hit The Bible is sure to be another blockbuster – and the man playing son of God got more out of the experience than just long hair and a beard

What could be more miraculous than seeing Jesus having lunch? Perhaps seeing two Jesuses having lunch together. That’s was the sight that greeted diners in a restaurant in Ouarzazate, Morocco, where Juan Pablo Di Pace, the actor playing Christ in NBC’s Ad the Bible Continues, broke bread with his friend Haaz Sleiman, who played the same role in NatGeo’s Killing Jesus.

“We were just talking about the character and what it meant to each of us – it was amazing chat,” Di Pace said.
