The Informer Poster Has Joel Kinnaman Ready to Licky Boom-Boom Down

The Informer has received a new poster and release date. Instead of opening in theaters at the end of next month, the movie with now be released on August 16th. Aviron Pictures did not reveal the reasoning behind the decision. Joel Kinnaman stars in The Informer and can be seen outrunning the FBI, Mob, and the NYPD in the intense first trailer, which was released in November 2018.

The Informer is based on the novel Three Seconds by Borge Hellstrom and Anders Roslund and focuses on honorably discharged Special Ops soldier Pete Koslow (Joel Kinnaman) as his world is turned upside-down when he is jailed after a fight to protect his wife (Ana de Armas). He's given a chance for early release by becoming an informant for the FBI (Rosamund Pike and Clive Owen) and using his covert skills in an operation to take down The General, the most powerful crime boss in New York.

Quite a cast has assembled for Andrea Di Stefano’s upcoming film. Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, Clive Owen and Common have been cast in Three Seconds, an action thriller based on the novel of the same name by Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström. The screenplay is from Matt Cook, Rowan Joffé and Alex Garland, with Di Stefano doing a pass on the script as well.

Three Seconds follows Pete Hoffman, a reformed-criminal and former special ops soldier who has been working undercover for crooked FBI handlers to infiltrate the Polish mob’s drug trade in New York. To gain his freedom and reunite with his wife and daughter, Hoffman must return to Bale Hill Prison, the place he’s spent years trying to leave. Bloom has launched talks with international buyers here on action-thriller Three Seconds with a reconfigured cast of Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, Common and Clive Owen.

Andrea Di Stefano directs the story based on the Swedish bestseller by Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström.

David Oyelowo to join Luke Evans in prison thriller Three Seconds
David Oyelowo's star continues to get brighter as he joins another film opposite The Hobbit actor Luke Evans.

The Selma actor will join Three Seconds, the feature debut for director Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders), reports Deadline.

Three Seconds is based on Swedish writers Anders Roslund and Borge Hellström's 2010 novel with the same name.

The story follows a man who is forced to go undercover in prison for an FBI operation but must find a way to escape on his own after he is abandoned on the mission.

Oyelowo is set to play Detective Lt. Edward Grens, described as "anti-social NYPD detective who quickly begins unravelling the FBI's operation after the murder of a fellow officer".

Oyelowo can be seen next in HBO television movie Nightingale debuting later this month on May 29.
