Simon Sohel TaufiQue is a British Indian, Emmy-nominated and multiple award-winning composer and producer, known for Land of Gold (HBO MAX), The Interpreters (PBS), The Weight of Gold (HBO), Imperium (Lionsgate/Universal), and Berlinale-winner, She's Lost Control.
Introduced to the industry by M. Night Shyamalan, he's collaborated with filmmakers like Kevin Smith and Reinaldo Marcus Green. Notable works include The Interpreters, Imperium, She's Lost Control and Land of Gold, a project that clinched Tribeca/AT&T's 2021 $1M funding prize and released on HBO MAX. In 2024 Simon is producing and composing the score for the feature adaptation of Ricky , a Sundance 2023 selection and directed by Rashad Frett, a fellow of the Sundance Writers & Directors Lab. Simon also contributes as a juror for Oscar-qualifying festivals, a Fellow of multiple film programs, Co-President of HRTS Associates-NY, and teaches at NYU and Sundance Institute. He's a proud BAFTA and PGA-East member.
