Hunter Richards sold his first original screenplay to Paramount Studios in a seven-figure deal. He worked as a "script doctor" for several years, before finally moving on to directing his own material.
In 2006, Hunter wrote and directed his first feature film "London" for Sony Studios, starring Chris Evans, Jessica Biel, Jason Statham, Isla Fischer, Dane Cook, Joy Bryant and Kat Dennings, which later became a cult film in the US and UK.
in 2007, Hunter wrote and created two original TV series which were sold to FX and the E! Channel. After the writers strike in 2008, he moved to Maui and produced his first documentary "Power" exploring the energy security of the planet, and investigating breakthrough "green technologies" to get off fossil fuels.
In 2011, Hunter wrote and directed the short film "Awake" starring Rosario Dawson and Sean Lennon. In 2014, Hunter wrote and produced the Netflix film "Free the Nipple" and co-founded the international gender equality movement of the same name supported by celebrities such as Shepard Ferry, Kendal Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Lena Dunham, Bella Hadid, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna.
Presently, he is writing and producing an 8-part limited TV series "Growing Up Death Row" based on a true life story that explores the rise-and-fall of the infamous music label Death Row Records.
