Howard Stern Favorite Reveals Secret Cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy 2

Richard Christy shared his never-ending excitement on the Howard Stern Show this morning about his cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Anyone that has ever listened to the Stern show in the last 20 years is familiar with the loveable Richard Christy and even his raccoon eating dad (don't tell Rocket). Christy and his annoying partner in crime, Sal "the Turtle" Governale are often the highlight of the Stern show, going to any length imaginable to get a laugh out of their grumpy boss Howard Stern, usually with a phony phone call. While most know Christy for his comedy and drumming skills, he's also been spreading his talented wings into the world of acting.

On Friday afternoon Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn Tweeted that he is a fan of the Stern show and particularly Christy. Here's what he had to say.

"10 years ago I heard

But I love him, I listen to every second of his show and I will continue to do so until he chooses to retire (a distinct looming possibility given that his contract with Sirius is up at the end of the year). I'll admit: I'm a latecomer to the Stern universe. I didn't become a regular listener until about six years ago (i.e. the very tail end of the Artie era) and missed out on the "Golden Age" terrestrial years -- though the claim that he was at his peak in the '80s and '90s is often made,

Joe Rogan Talks Horror Films & Books, Monkeys, and the Psychedelic Experience

The face of genre fandom is a kaleidoscope of different people, backgrounds, and perspectives. Genre fans are a collection of unique individuals who all come from a wide variety of vocations.

Celebrity genre fans are no different. Some of them are actors. Some are musicians. Lena Headley (300) cites films like Session 9, Black Christmas, and Martyrs as favorites. Eddie McClintock ("Warehouse 13") is another actor who supports the genre. Tina Turner reads Anne Rice. Richard Christy (Howard Stern Show) is a major horror fan. Hell, even Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) refers to herself as a fan with The Exorcist and Poltergeist topping her list.

Another name that might surprise you: that of actor, comedian, Ufc commentator Joe Rogan. Since coming to the public’s attention
