New England Patriots offensive tackle, 1973-1985. Best known for his
friendship with teammate Leon Gray; the two engaged in a famous
contract holdout against the Patriots in the first three games of the
1977 season. He retired after Superbowl XX and, in 1991, became the
first career Patriots player inducted into the Pro Football Hall Of
Fame.
