The Overlook Film Festival Adds Come To Daddy, Girl On The Third Floor, Campfire Creepers Vr

The Overlook Film Festival already has a killer lineup that includes The Dead Don't Die, Bliss, The Lodge, and Satanic Panic, but they're not done with announcements yet! Today, they revealed new additions, including screenings of Come to Daddy and Girl on the Third Floor, along with Alexandre Aja's Campfire Creepers Vr experience.

(New Orleans, La) - The Overlook Film Festival is thrilled to announce Ant Timpson’s directorial debut Come To Daddy, starring Elijah Wood, as the weekend’s Centerpiece Film Presentation, alongside newly added film Girl On The Third Floor starring wrestling superstar Cm Punk, virtual reality from Alexandre Aja, and the festival’s feature and short film juries.

Ahead of its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, we've been provided with a new clip from Come to Daddy, featuring an unnerving conversation between Norval Greenwood (Elijah Wood) and his father (Stephen McHattie).

Tribeca Film Festival 2019 Midnight Lineup Includes Come To Daddy, Bliss, Something Else

While the SXSW Film Festival is kicking off in Austin this week, the Tribeca Film Festival will continue to shine a spotlight on upcoming genre films in April and May, including Joe Begos' Bliss, Ant Timpson's Come to Daddy (starring Elijah Wood and Stephen McHattie), and Something Else (directed by Jeremy Gardner and Christian Stella).

From the Press Release: "New York – March 5, 2019 – The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by At&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today’s global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. The program includes discoveries, comedies, music-centered, political and social films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.

Participant Media, Diane Weyermann to be Honored by Italy’s Biografilm Festival (Exclusive)

Italy’s Biografilm Festival, the unique event billed as a cinematic celebration of human lives, will pay special tribute to Participant Media this year and in particular to Diane Weyermann, head of the company’s documentary film and television unit.

Weyermann will receive the fest’s Make it Real Award, honoring excellence in producing, which last year went to producer Simon Chin

Participant has had a banner year with such acclaimed, award-winning films as “Green Book,” “Rbg” and “Roma, all of which collectively earned a total 17 Oscar nominations – the most ever for the company. The tribute during the 15th edition of the June 7-17 Bologna Festival will include a retrospective spotlight of some of Participant’s most significant narrative and documentary features.

“We are proud to celebrate the common path and common mission of both Biografilm and Participant by encouraging audiences to be conscious consumers,” said Biografilm chief Andrea Romeo.
