Brian O'Malley is film and television Director. He was lead Director of the Anthony Horowitz original series 'Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue' for Eleventh Hour Films, Sony, MGM+ and BBC. The series will stream and air in 2025.

In 2024 he was series director of the Netflix No.1 TV series 'The Cuckoo' for Clapperboard as well as block 2 of 'Alex Rider' S3 for Eleventh Hour Films and Sony/Amazon. Prior to this he was series Director of the 4 part thriller 'The Ex Wife' for Paramount+ and the spaghetti western series 'That Dirty Black Bag' for AMC+.

He is also known for the gothic horror movies 'Let Us Prey' and 'The Lodgers'. 'Let Us Prey', starring Liam Cunningham, won the Méliès d'Argent for Best European Fantastic Feature Film at its world premiere at the Belgium International Fantastic Film Festival in 2014. His 2nd feature film 'The Lodgers', an elegantly gothic ghost story set in rural Ireland in 1920, premiered at TIFF 2017 and was released theatrically February 23rd 2018.

He wrote and Directed the short films 'Crossing Salween' (2010) and 'Screwback' (2005). In 2005 he won the Hartley Merrill Screenwriting award for his feature films script 'SISK', co-written with Terry McMahon and Mark O'Rowe.

Brian studied Fine Art, specializing in Sculpture, before moving into music video and short film direction. He began Directing TV commercials in 2001 before moving into Drama in 2022. He also like makes electronic music in his spare time.....
