Nicole Taylor-Roberts is a writer-director who completed the Sony Diverse Director's Program in 2016. An alumna of Columbia University SAO's Film, her short films have won awards and featured in festivals. Most notably Botes al Amanecer, featuring Jose Yenque (Miss Bala), was invited as a special selection to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and was a featured film at Cannes Short Corner.

Taylor-Roberts has been recognized by The National Foundation for the Arts; the NAACP; ABC - Disney Talent Development; NYWIF; and The Adrienne Shelly Foundation with a nomination for Best Female Director. Through her company, Rocketlight Films, Taylor-Roberts has done work for Sony Pictures, New York Fashion Week, General Motors and Nike -- a Black History Month campaign featuring Kevin Durant. Taylor-Roberts' most recent short film, Slumflower, challenges the misconceptions held about life in public housing and was featured on Fader and GQ and screened at the Cannes Short Corner. This film also existed an immersive gallery experience.

Her feature script, A Girl from Haiti, was invited to the NALIP Diverse Women in Media Residency Lab in 2015.
