Remo Vinzens, born on December 22, 1975, in East Switzerland, embarked on his acting journey at the age of 20, pursuing studies in acting in Cologne and Zurich. Throughout his four years of training, Remo diligently immersed himself in various acting techniques, recognizing the unique benefits of each and striving to integrate them into his own artistic perspective.
Remo's acting career took off with his notable performance in Brecht's play "Señora Carrar's Rifles," marking his debut on both stage and camera. He then ventured into the realm of TV commercials and short movies, honing his skills and gaining valuable experience in front of the lens.
In Fall 2003, Remo was presented with the opportunity to study "on camera" with Klaus Maria Brandauer, an Oscar-nominated actor, through the International Film School in Cologne. This invaluable training experience unveiled a new level of depth and intensity in Remo's acting, an aspiration he had always pursued. And subsequently became a member of the Brandauer Ingenuus Ensemble.
Adding to his repertoire, Remo showcased his newly acquired acting skills in Eugene O'Neill's acclaimed play, "Long Day's Journey Into Night." Shortly thereafter, he explored a new facet of his talent by taking the stage in Germany as a singer, delving into the realms of comedy and music in « Three Gentlemen » and expanding his artistic range.
In 2005, he joined Talent Management Star Class, leading to the establishment of the independent theater company "Star Class Theatre Productions." Remo's talent garnered attention, and he became a member of the Swiss Stage Artist's Association.
By the end of 2006, Remo became a member of the Swiss Stage Artist's Association and made his mark in the independent feature film Pentagramm (2005)." In the following months, he ventured into writing, penning his first audio script titled "Integration," a comedy that showcased his ability to perform twelve different dialects.
Devoting himself to classical stage plays, Remo co-produced and starred in Arthur Miller's masterpiece, "Death of a Salesman." Building on this , he went on to produce and perform in his own productions, including "The Inmate" in 2006 and 2010, as well as "An Evening With..." in 2010, under the banner of Star Class Theatre Productions.
During this time, Remo gained significant exposure to the Hollywood film industry through his management, earning widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Happy Loman in Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman."
In 2008, Remo found himself in negotiations for the role of the Camerlengo in Ron Howards movie, Angels & Demons (2009), showcasing his growing reputation in the industry.
The following year, legendary actor and director filmmaker Clint Eastwood expressed interest in Remo Vinzens playing the role of François Pienaar in a Nelson Mandela movie, Invictus (2009). However, ultimately the part went to Matt Damon.
In 2012, Remo and his talent management joined forces to establish the "Swiss Acting Institute". An acting studio for international working actors and independent theatre productions, staged internationally. He opened the acting studio with "Long Days Journey Into Night", followed by "Shakespeare's Best" in 2013 and Chekhov's "Ivanov" in 2014.
While opportunities with renowned filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg for the film Lincoln (2012) emerged in late 2012, scheduling conflicts and production delays prevented Remo's involvement in the project.
In 2015 Remo starred at the first SAI Members Event in "The Glasmenagerie" written by Tennessee Williams and in 2016 he read Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol."
In 2019, Remo collaborated on the movie Free Trip to Egypt (2019), which premiered at the AMC Empire in New York on May 31st and is still in negotiations for Vivaldi.
In 2020, like many others, Remo faced challenges as the pandemic led to the cancellation of stage plays and movie projects until summer 2022, putting a temporary halt to his creative pursuits.
Looking ahead, Remo has an exciting lineup of projects scheduled for 2023/24, including performances in Gogol's "The Government Inspector," Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar," and "Frank and Sam." He is also set to star in the movie The Curse of the Silver Chain, where he will portray the title character, Jeff and in Michelangelo: The Early Life.
Nowadays Remo shuttles between Europe and the United States. He partly lives in Zurich with his wife and his three daughters.
