Joseph Evans, better known as UKIAH BEATS, is a multi-genre music producer, composer, songwriter, and engineer whose name, U.K.I.A.H.-"U Know It's A Hit," speaks to his dedication to making undeniable bangers that resonate with audiences everywhere. Born and raised in Oklahoma in a family of ministers and musicians, Ukiah grew up surrounded by the sounds of gospel and soul. Music was always a part of his life, but it wasn't until his teens-when he started rapping under the name EVAJ MUSIC-that he realized he wanted to take it further. Since he didn't know many producers in his hometown, Ukiah borrowed one of his dad's keyboards and started making his own beats. That's when he discovered his natural talent for production and began collaborating with local artists to sharpen his skills.

Ukiah signed his first production deal with Fresh Entertainment, where he expanded into other genres like dance and techno. These projects gained traction in Orlando and Tampa, and one even caught the attention of UCF's program director, landing several tracks on The UCF Sports Show. That was Ukiah's first taste of sync licensing, and it opened his eyes to new possibilities for his music.

Determined to level up, Ukiah moved to Atlanta and linked up with industry pros like Soul Plus Mind and Clint Music. Collaborating with them taught him how to structure his music for sync and handle business more effectively. Over time, he landed dozens of placements across TV and film. Around this time, Ukiah decided to rebrand from EVAJ MUSIC to UKIAH BEATS, aligning his name with his company and his mission to make music that stands out.
