Omg - Barack and Michelle Obama Just Inked a Major Deal With Netflix

If you're still trying to wade through the dense second season of 13 Reasons Why on Netflix, we've got something of a palate cleanser: former Us president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama are officially going to be making series for the streaming giant. Are we blessed or what?

Back in March, it was announced that the Obamas were in the late stages of talks to produce a collection of original series for Netflix, although the deal still wasn't final. Obviously, this would be the first time a president signed on for something like this, since most post-White House politicians opt to pen memoirs. It seems both Barack and Michelle are interested in bringing unscripted inspirational stories to the global streamer, which would line up with their fierce dedication to philanthropy and activism.

Howard Stern Talks Trump's Creepy Ivanka Comments With David Letterman
Howard Stern reflected on his now-infamous radio interviews with President Trump. He said the future president's unfiltered responses made him the ideal guest in a preview of an upcoming episode of David Letterman's My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

"To me, a guest who comes on and says anything that is in his mind is a great guest," Stern said. "And he would get on, and no matter what I asked him, he would answer. In a very sincere and thought-out way, I'd say, 'Donald – and I always called him Mr.

Jordan Klepper Begs Nobel Committee to Just Give Trump the Peace Prize (Video)

Jordan Klepper Begs Nobel Committee to Just Give Trump the Peace Prize (Video)
On Wednesday’s episode of “The Opposition,” Jordan Klepper basically begged the Nobel Committee to give Donald Trump a Nobel Peace Prize, even if talks in Korea appear to have stalled.

“This prize has been Trump’s life-long dream, right behind ‘threesome in space,'” said Klepper, who asked the Nobel committee to “focus up” on the fact that Trump has “almost achieved peace on the Korean peninsula.”

On Tuesday, North Korea threatened to abandon the nuclear summit planned for June in response to upcoming joint military operations between South Korea and the United States. About this move, Klepper joked that “this chubby, egomaniacal tyrant can’t be trusted, and every American knows who I’m talking about,” while nodding to a side-by-side image of Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.

Tina Fey’s 11 Best Characters From ‘SNL’ and Beyond, Ranked From Funny to Liz Lemon (Photos)

Tina Fey’s 11 Best Characters From ‘SNL’ and Beyond, Ranked From Funny to Liz Lemon (Photos)
“SNL” alumna Tina Fey has come a long way since her days on the sketch comedy show. Since her turn as an anchor of Weekend Update and head writer of the show, she’s gone on to star in movies and create one of the best comedy TV shows ever in “30 Rock.” In honor of Fey’s return to “SNL” to host the Season 43 finale this week, here are 11 of Tina Fey’s best characters, ranked from the least hilarious to the most: Liz Lemon of “30 Rock.”

11. Queef Latina — “SNL”

When Fey returned to “SNL” as host in 2013, she used her monologue to remind fans of her least-remembered recurring characters. They were, of course, all made-up characters that had never existed, but even the promo materials for some of them were amazing. Fey and “SNL” suggested the movie spin-off for her fake character “Queef Latina,” dubbed “Queef Latina Ruins Christmas,

Cannes Film Review: ‘Pope Francis: A Man of His Word’

Cannes Film Review: ‘Pope Francis: A Man of His Word’
As both a fiction filmmaker and a documentarian, Wim Wenders has always been more concerned with the journeys of individuals than the systems and institutions in which those journeys are made. In his Palme d’Or winner “Paris, Texas,” Wenders tackled themes ranging from urbanization to the breakdown of the Western family, but his focus remained trained on one highly specific road-trip. His 1999 documentary “The Buena Vista Social Club” offered an invaluable glimpse at Cuba during the embargo, but only through the lens of individual musicians. That tendency provides for both the greatest strengths and the greatest weaknesses in his Cannes premiere, “Pope Francis: A Man of His Word.” Beautifully shot and edited, Wenders’ latest nonetheless features his highest-profile documentary subject yet, and the film should attract substantial worldwide attention, especially in Latin America.

‘SNL’ Weekend Update Host Michael Che: The Only Part of the Iran Nuclear Deal Trump Read Was Obama’s Signature

‘SNL’ Weekend Update Host Michael Che: The Only Part of the Iran Nuclear Deal Trump Read Was Obama’s Signature
It was overall a relatively apolitical episode of “SNL” this week — the show’s intent was broadcast pretty clearly with a cold open sketch in which members of the cast brought their moms out on stage ahead of Mother’s Day, and they each complained (jokingly) about how political the show has gotten. But Weekend Update is still Weekend Update.

So as they always do, co-hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost devoted the first chunk of Weekend Update to slinging zingers at Trump and friends, from Trump’s decision to violate the Iran nuclear deal to the ongoing situations with Michael Cohen and Rudy Giuliani.

Below you’ll find a transcript of the first portion of Weekend Update, and you can watch it for yourself in the video embedded above should you so desire.

Colin Jost: “You know, I gotta admit, President Trump had a pretty good week. He helped secure the release of three American prisoners from North Korea, and when he greeted them at the airport he didn’t even say ‘Wait, I thought they were Americans.’ Trump bragged that him greeting the prisoners was probably the highest ever television ratings for 3 ‘clock in the morning. Which is not true. The 3 a.m. ratings record was set on election night by liberals hoping they were being pranked.”

Michael Che: “I mean, sure, this has been a decent week for Donald Trump. The same way a decent date with R. Kelly is to go home dry. Personally, I don’t like when Trump is this quiet. It’s like when I’m babysitting my nephew and he’s quiet for too long and I’m like like, ‘Oh no, he’s eating out of the litter box again, ain’t he.’

“According to a report, Michael Cohen was paid $600,000 by At&T to advise them on their $85 billion merger. At&T could not be reached for comment because they use A&T.”

Colin Jost: “It’s really funny to me that all these companies were paying Michael Cohen, this guy, for intelligence. He’s like if the word ‘durr’ became a person.”

Colin Jost: “This is true — Cohen named his shell company Essential Consultants, which could not sound more fake. It’s like a place George Costanza would pretend to work at. Meanwhile, President Trump attacked the Russia investigation and insisted that obstruction of justice is ‘a made up phony crime.’ Oh the crime you are accused of? That one’s made up? It’s funny how when it comes to immigration, Trump is like ‘the law is the law.’ When it comes to himself, he’s like ‘laws aren’t real. They’re just stories we make up to scare poor people.’ “

Michael Che: “President Trump announced that he would be withdrawing the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal. And look, I’m not gonna pretend I know anything about the Iran deal, but Trump is. And you know the only part of that deal Trump has read was the signature on the bottom that said ‘Barack Obama.’ That’s all he needed. Trump is undoing so much of Obama’s work that Obama’s gonna start fading away in pictures like ‘Back to the Future.’ “

Colin Jost: “Rudy Giuliani has resigned from his law firm to become President Trump’s attorney full time. His first task will be to undo the damage he did working part-time.

“Attorney general Jeff Sessions announced that undocumented parents entering the U.S. would be separated from their children unless they can guess that his real name is Rumpelstiltskin.”

Michael Che: “First Lady Melania Trump — or as I’ve been calling her, sexy a– Michael Jackson — launched a campaign to stop cyber bullying called Be Best. As in, it would be best if you got a divorce.”

You can watch this portion of Weekend Update from this week’s “SNL” in the video embedded at the top of this post.

Senator John McCain Doesn't Want President Donald Trump at His Funeral (Report)

Senator John McCain is still alive, but apparently, the 81-year-old is already making funeral arrangements as he continues to fight his brain cancer. And, according to a new report, those arrangements don't include President Donald Trump. John's team has informed the White House of the "current plan" for the funeral, The New York Times reported on Saturday, May, 5. The service will be held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, for example, and John reportedly wants Vice President Mike Pence to attend instead of Trump. That news sent shockwaves through Washington and the rest of the Us. "This is a real moment for the country, where an American hero — somebody who is beloved in many, many ways — is saying, 'I don't want this guy at my funeral,'" CNN's Jake Tapper said on the May 6 episode of State of the Union. Roseanne Barr Backs Kanye West on Obama Diss: People ‘Do Not Want to Hear the Truth’
Roseanne Barr has stepped up to back fellow Donald Trump supporter Kanye West in his criticism of Barack Obama.

The actress took to Twitter on Thursday to echo West’s disappointment in the progress the city of Chicago made under the Obama administration and Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

“@kanyewest is telling the truth about Rahm’s Chicago,” Barr wrote. “[People] do not want to hear the truth — that Chicago could be a better city for its citizens, but the establishment is corrupted.”

“Let’s do something about #Chicago — all of us… instead of hurling insults and division,” Barr wrote in a separate tweet. “Let’s try efficient government and unity Just This Once!”

Like Barr, West has received criticism from fans over his vocal support for the current president, which has included him saying that he has “love” for Trump and a tweet praising his “dragon energy.”
