- Quick audio-bio: Rudy Helm founded Helm Productions and At The Helm in late 1996 with the mission to create compelling interactive audio to help software entertainment production teams with their goal of placing the real world inside the personal computer or game console. Prior, he has held in-house composer/sound designer positions with two corporate giants in the entertainment software industry, Accolade and Sierra On-line. Helm has served on the Advisory Board of the Interactive Audio Special Interest Group. He served as that org's Co-Chairman during 1995-98. Helm participated in 1999's Game Developer's Conference (GDC) as a panel member for one of the game-audio sessions. He is a 1997 GDC alumni as well. In earlier times, e was a co-founder of The Kessner-Helm Project, a musical recording act with five national releases to their credit. Helm has a background in the in the music industry spanning nearly 20 years before entering the interactive industry. In the late '70's he penned two symphonies (premiered by the Southern Indiana Orchestra), and an electronic score for modern ballet. Helm went on to serve as music director for a production of Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus for Actors Theatre of Louisville, and went on to compose scores for a TV ad as well as multi-image corporate convention-presentations.
