Constantin Preda was born in Queens, New York on September 3, 1974.
Born of Russian-Romanian descent, he is a first generation US American
who realized he wanted to make films, videos, and television when he
was 10 years old. After living most of his childhood in West Islip, New
York, he moved to Florida in 1986 and attended the University of
Central Florida in 1996 where he went to film school. While there, he
won a 1998 Kodak Film Grant for his thesis film "Salt" and started
working in production as a PA before he graduated. Since then, he has
worked as a series producer, show producer, field producer, story
producer/editor, production manager, production coordinator, talent
coordinator, media coordinator, stage manager, assistant director,
location scout, casting director, writer, editor, and TV show pilot
developer for Walt Disney World Entertainment, Nickelodeon Television,
Spike TV, MTV, VH1, CMT, Golf Channel, Discovery, HGTV, and Animal
Planet. His TV shows include Nickelodeon's Slimetime Live, MTV I Want a
Famous Face, VH1's Hogan Knows Best with Hulk Hogan, VH1's Mission Man
Band with Chris Kirkpatrick, CMT's My Big Redneck Wedding with Tom
Arnold, CBS' Rachael Ray, School of Golf with Tiger Woods' swing coach
Hank Haney, Discovery's The Girls of Palm Beach Polo, HGTV's House
Hunters, and Animal Planet's Swamp Wars. Additionally, he has written,
directed, assistant directed, and produced national commercials for
Sears, Enterprise Car Rental, The Orlando Magic, Adams Golf, Michelob
Ultra, and Oreck Vacuums. He also assistant directs music videos, and
publishes poetry, articles, and photographs in magazines and news
papers including The Orlando Sentinel and Industry Magazine. Constantin
is passionate about production and education. He was also a teacher at
Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida for 6 years. Before
joining Full Sail University, He has taught Film, TV, Marine Sciences,
and Earth Sciences in the Youth Educational Series Program at Walt
Disney World and film production at The New York Film Academy at
Universal Studios Florida. He currently lives in Los Angeles,
California.
