Geeta Malik is the writer and director of India Sweets and Spices (2021), Troublemaker (2011), and the short film Shameless (2013). Her accolades include the inaugural Academy Gold Fellowship for Women, the Academy Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, and the Austin Film Festival Comedy Screenplay Award. She received her MFA from UCLA's graduate film program. She grew up in Aurora, Colorado.
