‘Suspiria’: Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin Will Play Its Iconic Score in Its Entirety on Fall Tour

‘Suspiria’: Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin Will Play Its Iconic Score in Its Entirety on Fall Tour
2018 appears to be the year of “Suspiria.” In addition to “Call Me by Your Name” director Luca Guadagnino’s highly anticipated remake of Dario Argento’s classic giallo, this fall will also see Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin go on tour to perform its iconic score for the original film in its entirety. Each show will feature a screening of the film, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year; to mark that occasion, Goblin reissued said score on vinyl.

Thom Yorke of Radiohead is scoring this new take on the film, which stars Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, and Jessica Harper. Though his bandmate Jonny Greenwood has received widespread acclaim for his musical stylings on films like “There Will Be Blood” and “Phantom Thread,” Yorke hasn’t worked on a high-profile film project before.

Here are the dates for Goblin’s tour, which begins just before Halloween

‘The Miseducation of Cameron Post’ Trailer: Chloë Grace Moretz Endures Gay Conversion Therapy in Sundance Winner

On her prom night, Cameron Post (Chloë Grace Moretz) gets caught making out with her high school girlfriend in the parking lot, resulting in her parents sending her off to God’s Promise, a gay conversion therapy camp. Featuring weeks of religious gaslighting in which those in charge not only you tell you the desires of your heart are immoral, but homosexuality itself doesn’t even exist, The Miseducation of Cameron Post explores this specific experience. The latest film from Desiree Akhavan (Appropriate Behavior), based on Emily M. Danforth’s novel, FilmRise has now debuted the first trailer.

“There’s a smart sense of both humanity and humor that helps to undercut the inherent lunacy that is the foundation of the camp, especially felt in Lane and Goodluck’s performances,” I said in my review. “Pairing well with another Sundance premiere Come Sunday, which preaches the inclusive embrace at the heart of Jesus’ message,

Luca Guadagnino Shares Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Suspiria’ Rave Reaction: ‘He Was Crying and Hugged Me’
Luca Guadagnino’s “Suspiria” is still four months away from opening in theaters, but it now has the blessing of none other than Quentin Tarantino. Speaking to the Italian publication La Repubblica, Guadagnino revealed he showed his adaptation of Dario Argento’s horror classic to Tarantino last fall and the “Pulp Fiction” director had a strong emotional reaction.

“I showed it to Quentin Tarantino. We’ve been friends since our jury duty at the Venice Film Festival,” Guadagnino said. “I was nervous but eager to hear his advice. We saw it at his place and his reaction warmed me. He was enthusiastic about it, in the end he was crying and hugged me. Because it’s a horror movie but also a melodrama, my goal was to make you look at the horror without being able to take [your eyes off the screen] because you’re captivated by the characters. Amazon is very happy.”

Moretz: Suspiria Remake is Like “Modern Stanley Kubrick”

Director Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming remake of Dario Argento’s Suspiria recently snagged an R-rating for “disturbing content involving ritualistic violence, bloody images, and graphic nudity, and for some language including sexual references.” And if that wasn’t enough to get you onboard with the film, then maybe today’s comments via co-star Chloë Grace Moretz, will do the trick. “This is […]

Chloë Grace Moretz Says New ‘Suspiria’ Is The “Closest To Modern Stanley Kubrick” She’s Ever Seen

Like many film fans, we’re excited, but also nervous, about Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming “Suspiria” remake. That isn’t to say that Guadagnino isn’t able to make a great film because clearly, judging just from last year’s “Call Me By Your Name,” the man knows how to direct. However, “Suspiria” is a classic film from a classic director, Dario Argento, and even with all the early buzz and the talent behind, and in front, of the camera, we still feel a bit of apprehension.

Chloë Grace Moretz Praises Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Suspiria’ As ‘The Closest to Modern Stanley Kubrick I’ve Ever Seen’

Chloë Grace Moretz Praises Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Suspiria’ As ‘The Closest to Modern Stanley Kubrick I’ve Ever Seen’
It’s hard to find much information on Luca Guadagnino’s “Suspiria,” but at least one person has seen the entire movie: Chloë Grace Moretz, who plays Patricia Hingle in the forthcoming horror film, the character played by Eva Axén in the original. Described by Guadagnino as an “homage” rather than a remake of Dario Argento’s 1977 classic, “Suspiria” stars Dakota Johnson as an aspiring modern dancer who discovers something evil within her new dance academy. An early scene preview had audiences in shock, with one member of the press calling it “one of the most fucked-up things I’ve ever seen at CinemaCon.”

“This is a really big statement, but this is the closest to modern Stanley Kubrick I‘ve ever seen,” Moretz said at an event during the Provincetown Film Festival earlier this month. “You’re put into a world, which I can only describe it as being
