Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, Alex began his acting career at the age of 13 as part of the repertory company for the acclaimed children's series
Incredible Story Studio (1997) (1997). He relocated to Calgary, Alberta in 2005, and began to study acting and win roles on the Gemini Award winning series
Renegadepress.com (2004) (2004) ; CBC's
Heartland (2007) (2007), the Genie Award winning World War I drama,
Passchendaele (2008) (2007), and cult, horror-comedy hit
Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010) (2010).
After moving to Vancouver, B.C. in 2009 to pursue bigger parts, he won roles in the Syfy series
Caprica (2009) (2009), the CW's
Supernatural (2005) (2005) & ABC's
Motive (2013) (2013), as well as in the feature length films
Kid Cannabis (2014) (2014) and
The Stakelander (2016) (2016).
He now calls Vancouver Island home.
