Ajay Prakash Pasupulla

Dr. Ajay Prakash is an Indian researcher, academic, and clinician widely recognized for his significant contributions to the fields of oral and maxillofacial pathology, cancer epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, molecular biology, DNA profiling, and immunology. Born in Vijayawada, India, his early life was shaped by his father, P.S. Rama Murthy, a government police officer, and his mother, P.S. Uma Rani, a homemaker married to Dr. Sushma Bushan, a dentist and nutritionist. Dr. Ajay Prakash conducted groundbreaking research under the guidance of Professor Anjali A. Karande at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India. His research focused on P53 expression in head and neck cancer, with a particular emphasis on biochemistry. Additionally, he explored DNA fingerprinting in human dental pulp under the supervision of Dr. GV Rao at the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD). This involved utilizing techniques such as PCR and SSCP, investigating amelogenin gene expressions, and exploring HLA DQ a gene expressions with applications in molecular biology.
