Teresa Tanoos
Teresa Tanoos - Anchor and Medical Reporter - A widely respected
journalist with over 25 years of television experience, Teresa has
worked as a popular news anchor and medical reporter for each of the
major network affiliates - NBC, CBS and ABC. Throughout her career,
Teresa has received numerous awards and garnered national recognition
for her medical reporting and educational service to the community. As
a twenty-seven year cancer survivor, Teresa knows first-hand the
importance of receiving accurate and up-to-date health information. Her
physician father, William K. Nasser, M.D., was not only a
world-renowned cardiologist who built the nation's largest non-academic
cardiology practice, but was also the world's longest living survivor
of open-heart valve surgery until his death on September 2, 2005.
Teresa learned from her father, as well as her own battle with cancer,
that whole health includes the mind, body, and spirit. She is therefore
passionate in her quest to help educate the public on how to take
charge of their own health and wellness journey, and how to become the
"team leader" in working with their physician and other medical
professionals to get the health care they deserve. Teresa currently
anchors Healthy Living, a weekly half-hour television series airing
nationwide on the Healthy Living Channel, which reaches 24-million cable
and satellite viewers per week.
