(2024) Howard Sewell's passion is screenwriting. Thus far, he has finished 3 full-length's scripts, 1 TV episodic pilot and 6 short scripts.
His feature, Harmony, has placed in the top 35% in the LA International Screenwriter Contest- Spring 2023 and 2nd Rounder in the Austin Film Festival 2023 Screenplay contest. He is currently negotiating a contract to option this feature and be part of the production.
Feature script, White Diamond earned Finalist at Cannes World Art Festival, 2nd Rounder in Austin Film Festival 2023, Semifinalist in the Emerging Screenwriters competition for drama.
New feature script, I've Never Been to Heaven, but I've Been to Oklahoma, is a nominee in the International Indie screenplay competition.
Episode pilot, Wayward Souls, was a semifinalist in both the Screencraft pitch competition and the Emerging Screenwriter competition for action and adventure. Howard is originally from Georgia, but as an Air Force kid, he lived in 3 different countries and 10 different states.
Howard's passion involves dramatic writing in the family and social justice genres. He is open to working on new projects.
Howard retired in 2021 as a Regional Manager of Risk Services for Arkansas, Oklahoma and North Texas with Liberty Mutual Insurance out of the Oklahoma City office.
Howard is married and has 3 grown sons.
