Rodrigo Letier(I)

Born in Rio in 1976, Rodrigo Letier studied Economics and started his career as a producer of music videos and advertising films. It didn't take a long time for him to start working in Cinema, as an assistant to filmmaker Murillo Salles, with whom he created Murilo's new production company and worked on the film "Seja O Que Deus Quiser", the Tv Series "És tu Brasil". In 2002 he was invited to create the cinema department at TvZero that at the time was mainly focused in the production of advertising films. There, he was executive producer of the documentaries "Lingua - Life in Portuguese" directed by Victor Lopes and "Born to be Blind" directed by Roberto Berliner, both films were released commercially in theatres in 2004. Later, he started to produce several cultural projects such as musical DVDs (Paralamas do Sucesso, Leoni, Bezerra da Silva), tv shows and short films such as the awarded "Stray Bullet" by Victor Lopes. Rodrigo used to coordinate the whole company, since the creation of the accounts, financial methods and was also the executive producer of its films, such as the documentaries "Pindorama - The True Story Of The Seven Dwarves" (IDFA 2007), "Simonal - No One Knows How Tough It Was" (SIFF 52), "Herbert Up Close" (BAFICI 11) and "Straight to the Point" (DOCLISBOA 11). In 2011 Rodrigo entered the fray of fiction producers with the film "Bruna Surfistinha - Confessions of a Brazilian Call girl" (dir. Marcus Baldini), a national blockbuster which sold more than 2 million tickets.
