Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. Had a fascination with film from an early age, especially the fantastical and the special effects laden feature films of the 1980's featuring spaceships, mystical creatures, puppets, monsters, imaginary landscapes and so on.
Modelmaking was a hobby from an early age. starting with kits to eventually scratch building and modifications to build spaceships from fighter jets.
As the years followed, the fantastical turned into the horror genre and the love for classic monsters came about. In the hay day of L.A Special Effects Make Up movies there was no shortage of material to feast the eyes and to study. A career path was beginning to appear.
Studied Modelmaking, Special Effects and Design at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Dublin, Ireland. Gaining experience in the industry standard materials and practices of the time. Graduating in 2001 with some experience of of being involved with several award-winning short films.
Moved over to Toronto, Canada in Summer of 2004 to find a niche in Great Hollywood North. Due to SARS in 2003, film work was thin on the ground so for the next few years, found work in various stop motion animation studios as a miniature prop builder for various high profile children's television shows and award-winning comedy satire shows with intermittent spells working on television episodicals as a props person.
Begins working on feature films in 2010. Becomes a member of I.A.T.S.E Local 873 film union in Toronto.
