Jan Heymel

For Jan, film music is the heartbeat in film and an identification space for the emotions of the audience. It should underline and expressively emphasise the story. At the same time, unique melodies can give any idea and any medium a high recognition value.

Jan is comfortable in many sound worlds. Based on a classical piano education, Jan experienced many musical styles in his youth: orchestral music, rock/metal, folk, pop and electronic music.

Since graduating from the design faculty of the University of Arts in Berlin, Jan lives and works as an independent film composer in Germany's capital city.
