2018 Grammys: Chris Stapleton steamrolls over Taylor Swift to win 3 awards in country field

Winners of the 2018 Grammys were announced January 28 on CBS at Madison Square Garden, and country fans nationwide were excited to see Chris Stapleton steamroll over the competition to pick up three awards in the country field. Stapleton bested Grammy darling Taylor Swift (“Better Man”) by winning the songwriting award for Best Country Song for “Broken Halos,” but which other artists did he beat out? See our 2018 Grammys roundup below for all of this year’s country music awards.

Stapleton took home Best Country Album for “From a Room: Volume 1,” Best Country Solo Performance for “Either Way” and Best Country Song for “Broken Halos” along with co-writer Mike Henderson. The only country Grammy he didn’t take home was the one he wasn’t eligible for, as Best Country Duo/Group Performance went to Little Big Town for “Better Man.”

Winners of the 60th annual Grammys were revealed on Jan. 28 in a two-part ceremony. The majority of the 84 Grammy Awards were handed out in a non-televised event, the Premiere Ceremony, that began at noon Pt/3 p.m. Et and was hosted by Paul Shaffer in The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The televised portion of the Grammys began on CBS at 4:30 p.m. Pt/7:30 p.m. Et. Winners in the top 10 categories were announced during a three-and-a-half hour concert in the main arena at Madison Square Garden that aired live nationwide. “The Late Late Show” host James Corden emceed for the second year running.

Last year Beyonce was the queen of the Grammy Awards with nine nominations. This year her husband Jay-z reaped a leading eight bids for his lucky 13th studio album “4:44.” Kendrick Lamar has seven nominations for his album “Damn” while Bruno Mars earned six for his disc “24K Magic.” All three contend for the top prize, Album of the Year, as do Emmy winner Donald Glover (“Atlanta”) in his guise as Childish Gambino for “Awaken, My Love!” and Lorde for “Melodrama.” While Glover has five nominations in all, this is the only bid by Lorde, whose album was a critical favorite but did not produce any hit singles. Midland’s Cameron Duddy, Jess Carson and Mark Wystrach released their debut Ep last fall, introducing the world to their Texas sound.

The group was recently named one of Entertainment Weekly‘s “Artists Who Will Rule 2017,” and are now starring in a photo shoot for Man of Metropolis magazine.

“All of our music is an amalgamation of our musical influences,” Duddy tells the magazine. “Throw in some rock n roll, some soul, and a heavy dose of country music and your got yourself a Midland stew.”

Heard kept her look simple for the night out, wearing a pair of black jeans paired with a white T-shirt and matching jacket. Wystrach also looked casual in a pair of blue jeans with a yellow shirt and brown leather jacket.

Heard’s ex boyfriend, actor Mark Wystrach, claimed that when he saw his former flame and current friend, she told him that she was pregnant with Depp’s child.

"She's pregnant already! I saw her three weeks ago," Wystrach told InTouch. "Amber and I dated years ago but we are still close."

If Heard is in fact pregnant, it would be her first child. Depp already has two children from his 14-year relationship with Vanessa Paradis – Lily Rose, 14, and Jack, 11.

London, April 10: Johnny Depp has revealed that he would like to "make 100 babies" with his fiance Amber Heard amid reports that she is already pregnant.

According to the Mirror, the 50-year-old actor told Entertainment Tonight that he loves kids and the two children he has with former partner Vanessa Paradis are perfect, and hence he would like more.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old beauty's former boyfriend Mark Wystrach has told In Touch mag that the actress is already expecting her first baby with Depp.

Passions: Who Won't Survive the Move to DirecTV?

As Passions fans are well aware, NBC cancelled the supernatural soap back in January and it will leave the network on September 7, 2007. Luckily for some, the serial will resume on DirecTV's The 101 channel beginning September 17th. To cut costs, the series will air only four days a week and some characters will be dropped as well. Will your favorites survive the move?

Yesterday, NBC announced they have signed the following actors to new contracts: Eric Martsolf (Ethan), Ben Masters (Julian), Kim Johnston Ulrich (Ivy), Dylan Fergus (Noah), Galen Gering (Luis), Emily Harper (Fancy), Lindsay Hartley (Theresa), Liza Huber (Gwen), James Hyde (Sam), Juliet Mills (Tabitha), Heidi Mueller (Kay), Tracey Ross (Eve), Eva Tamargo (Pilar), McKenzie Westmore (Sheridan) and Erin Cardillo (Esme).

Among the missing are: Silvana Arias (Paloma), Adrian Bellani (Miguel), Charles Divins (Chad), Brook Kerr (Whitney), and Mark Cameron Wystrach (Fox).

Will these departures impact the series? Some don't think so.
