Bart Beekman was born on March 29, 1977 in Alkmaar, The Netherlands. While initially studying to become a graphic designer he fell in love with making moving images. This led him to directing, and later shooting Music Videos for well known Dutch artists. He is a graduate from the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. He is known for his work as director of photography on feature films like Frankenstein's Army, Love without borders, Candy & Bonita, Fuck Love too and The Windmill and the International Television series Hunterstreet.
