'The X Factor' Bosses Deny Osbourne Firing Reports
Bosses at British talent show The X Factor have blasted reports Sharon Osbourne was briefly fired from the program's judging panel, following claims made by her brother David Arden in a Sunday tabloid. In an angry expose in U.K. newspaper the News of the World on Sunday, Arden alleged Osbourne had been dropped from the show because co-judge Simon Cowell had tired of her constant gay jibes and attempts at sabotage by encouraging one contestant to quit the TV talent search. But producers behind The X Factor insist the allegations are "unfounded." A spokeswoman for the show says, "These claims are ridiculous. Sharon has never been sacked from the show and the fact that she's now back for a fourth series speaks out for itself. It's no secret that (contestant) Ben (Mills) and Sharon disagreed over song choices but no way did she try to sabotage the show."
