Despite taking a civil tone in a press release issued that summer, she came firing back in 2023 with a tabloid-ready diss track, detailing their breakup (and Piqué’s infidelity) in excruciating detail: the electro-pop atomic bomb “Bzrp Music Sessions #53,”recorded...

How does dance music sensation John Summit pregame his set at one of Las Vegas’ most popular nightclubs the Friday before the Super Bowl? Laying in bed, eating an airport sandwich.
But just because he’s horizontal doesn’t mean he’s unproductive. In fact, he’s spending his time cooking up something new that could be house music’s next smash hit — or at least a highlight of what his fans hear that night. “I try to make a new song for every set,” Summit, 29, says. “I usually make...

Doin’ It revolves around surely the most literal interpretation imaginable of the old saying “those who can, do; those who can’t, teach.” Lilly Singh stars as Maya, who stumbles almost by accident into a job teaching sex ed, despite still being a virgin. As she schools her kids on everything from consent to gender identity to orgasms, Maya sets out to unlearn the shame that she herself internalized at that age — and maybe even to get laid for the first time.
Good intentions practically drip off the premise, which makes a convincing case for dismantling the fear and ignorance around adolescent sex ed. And Doin’ It puts its money where its mouth is — its jokes eschew pearl-clutching or coyness in favor of in-your-face crassness. But the comedy never quite settles into a comfortable rhythm, and eventually backs itself into a corner so far away from any recognizable reality that...

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards went out on Sunday, November 19, with winners announced on the Billboard and BBMAs social channels and on BBMAs.watch. So who won? Scroll down for the complete list in all 69 categories.
These awards are based on fan interactions with music, but they’re not decided by an online vote. Instead, Billboard decides its finalists and winners using the metrics that determine the Billboard charts, including record sales, radio airplay and online streaming performance. Previously held during the spring, these awards have also moved to the fall to line up with the tracking period for Billboard’s year-end charts: November 19, 2022 through October 21, 2023.
Taylor Swift led the nominations with 20 citations including Top Artist. She had multiple albums at the top of the charts, and her “Eras Tour” gave all her past music a major commercial bump as well. But was she able to overcome Morgan Wallen, a 17-time finalist this year across 16 categories?...

Hold up, is that Tate McRae in a Zamboni? It sure is.
The pop star embraces her Canadian heritage (and her birthplace’s love for hockey) in her new video for the single “Greedy,” released Friday. McRae says the song is part of a “new chapter of my music.”
The Aerin Moreno-directed video opens with a clip of McRae driving around an ice rink on a Zamboni before the camera switches to capture the singer showing off her dance moves, choreographed by Sean Bankhead, from inside the arena’s changing room.

The White Lotus doesn’t work without the eerie mystery that rests under the surface of every encounter between characters on the popular HBO series. And in order for an audience to completely lean into the suspense, they have to be fully grounded in it. That’s where composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer comes in. In the latest episode of The Breakdown, the creator of that haunting The White Lotus theme song, “Renaissance,” talks to Rolling Stone about stirring up emotions through music and why imperfections can actually make his compositions even better.

So it’s almost hard to imagine that her last album, Phoenix, was released in 2018. Ora’s name has remained on everyone’s lips—she’s made sure of it.

9 June 2023 —Today, notorious Danish dance-pop group, Aqua, and DJ and music producer, Tiësto, team up to deliver the first-ever remix of Aqua’s iconic hit song, “Barbie Girl”, along with the lyric video. This marks the first time a remix of the Barbie anthem is being officially released by Aqua and comes in celebration of the inevitable new era of Barbie. The larger-than-life remake of the track was inspired by Tiësto’s daughter, as they have bonded over her love for the original song. “Barbie Girl” peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1997, has amassed over 9 billion streams worldwide, and 1 billion views of the music video on YouTube. It also has over 1 million videos using the sound on TikTok with over 2.7 billion views. Lately, the original version has seen an incredible increase in consumption given the recent 25th anniversary of the track and the release of the upcoming Barbie film...

Aqua and Tiësto are ready to party on the first official remix of “Barbie Girl,” the 1997 hit from the Danish dance-pop group that has been criminally left off the official soundtrack to Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. A version of the record, it seems, will be folded into the Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice collaboration on the album, but this gives Tiësto a chance to join in on the fun, too — even if only from afar.

The impact of “Renaissance,” the main title theme for the second season of “The White Lotus,” is felt far beyond the screen. Since the season’s premiere in Fall 2022, “Renaissance” has ushered in the Killers as they arrived on stage and Dominic Fike has closed his sets with it. But where the song has really hit is on the dance floor.
Grammy-winning DJ/producer Tiësto, a huge fan of the series, began including it in his sets toward the end of 2022. His “Renaissance” remix got its official release, with HBO’s blessing.
For the second season, Chilean Canadian composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer drew his original musical ideas from the script and from conversations with series creator Mike White. White “wanted the music to feel like it was boiling under these characters,” de Veer says from his studio in Montréal.

Anyone who watched "The White Lotus" season two knows that the "skip intro" button should always be ignored. The show's unbearably catchy theme song - which builds from a delicate string section to a full-on club banger - became a viral hit as the season aired and quickly inspired a number of remixes.
Now, the song has an official remix by none other than hitmaker Tiësto. Entitled "Renaissance," the track hit streaming platforms on Feb. 17. However, it's far from the first remix of the song - Candy Moore's remix that interpolates Tanya McQuoid's iconic "please, these gays, they're trying to murder me" line has also gone viral - but it's the first that HBO has approved, per CNN.
Tiësto told CNN that he was inspired to make an official remix of the song after playing it at some of his shows to great success.
