Sam Carey is a British Composer, Singer/Songwriter, Arranger and Multi-Instrumentalist residing in London, England. As well as implementing traditional orchestral forces, his compositions play on his strengths, often incorporating violin, piano, guitar and voice alongside electronic elements and percussion. His scores are characterised by the skilful handling of strong themes, which develop intricately through an evolving picture. As a songwriter, Sam combines reflective lyricism with moving acoustic music. His songwriting roots are evident across his work, and set him apart from other film composers. He released his debut EP 'Mindset' in 2016, and has since released a number of singles.
As well as scoring his own projects, Carey spends his time collaborating with renowned individuals on films, television and video-games. He works closely with renowned composer Ilan Eshkeri, arranging much of his music. He has worked with other heavy-weight professionals including Matt Bellamy (Muse), Tim Carter (Kasabian), Andy Burrows (Razorlight/We Are Scientists), Tim Wheeler (Ash), Atli Örvarsson, Blair Mowat and Steve McLaughlin.
