Award-winning producer Phil Hobden is a talented, established UK film producer, with 10 years of credits working on radio, short film, TV and features.

Forming Modern Life? (with long time collaberator Ross Boyask), Hobden has most recently produced the feature film 'Left For Dead' and worked as an associate producer on 'The Johnna Man'. In 2005 Hobden will be producing the second film from director Ross Boyask, 'Fixers' followed by action film 'Brutal', horror film 'Even Dead Men Die' and thriller '15 To Life' in 2006.

Modern Life? was formed as creative media hub, set up to attract like minded talent from across the UK and the globe.

Originally an award-winning short film director, Hobden now concentrates on producing duties. His other producing credits include Left For Dead (2005); The Johnna Man (2004); Pure Vengeance (2002); Blue Eyes (2000) (also director); Fixing To Blow (1999).

He has also worked on Project: Assasin (by Andy Hurst & Michael Hurst) and several other short and feature films.

A keen horse rider, Hobden also edits a film review and news website, The Other Review and an online comic booked called 'Night Warrior'.

Phil is owner and co-chairman (with Ross Boyask) of Modern Life?, a UK film production company.
During the filming of his first feature film 'Left For Dead' he was almost killed in a head on car crash. It meant that filming was delayed 3 weeks whilst he recovered from a broken sternum, concussion and severe cuts and bruises.
Creator and editor of www.nw-comic.co.uk - an online comic book which is based on one of the first short films he ever made... a project called 'Night Warrior: Deadly Jade'.
He has two brothers Peter Hobden & Paul Hobden, neither of whom work in the film industry.
Manages and edits the online film review site www.theotherreview.co.uk
Originally wanted to be a priest... then a stunt man... then a pilot... then finally a film maker!
Appears in a uncredited cameo at the start of the 'The Johnna Man' during the title sequence. Watch out for the magazine cover... Hobden is on the left.
Once played Rugby for Sussex until he dislocated his knee cap
Has a degree in Media Studies from the Carlisle Insitute Of The Arts
Has appeared in numerous films and theater shows under the Pseudonym of P.L Hobden including 'Left For Dead'.
