Dogukan Isik is a Turkish filmmaker. He was born on 28 August 1997, in Istanbul, Turkey. At 18, he moved to the UK to become an architect at Newcastle University. However, he found out creating ambiance is only possible through the energy of human beings and the cosmic attraction between nature and living creatures. He came to a conclusion that he couldn't convey his viewpoint through this field of art. Then, he decided to quit university and transfer to York University, located in Toronto, Canada to continue his education in Film Production Department.
During his time in Toronto, he worked as a cinematographer, editor, sound designer and production manager in short films. Nowadays, Dogukan Isik tries to create ambiance in his films by using the concept of synchronicity, cosmic awareness, and the energy field, through the use of the instruments of the film; cinematography, sound and the montage.
