Pat Shockley was the daughter of an Air Force father. She graduated from high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her father transferred to March AFB in Riverside, California and retired there. In 1955, Pat graduated from the University of California at Riverside. After school, she became a flight attendant with American Airlines for almost three years. In the early 1960's, she began a modeling and acting career under the name Erin Leigh. This was short-lived, however, and Erin's last filmed role was for an episode of Perry Mason in 1965.
