15 Biggest Box Office Hits to Premiere at Sundance, From ‘The Blair Witch Project’ to ‘Hereditary’ (Photos)
While Sundance is always a big market for distributors to pick up buzzy indie titles they hope can make a splash with a niche audience or even find its way through a long awards season, sometimes the huge bucks plopped down on some of these films don’t always translate into a profit at the box office. Jon Heder, who is best known for his role in Napoleon Dynamite, stars in a new film coming out called When Jeff Tried To Save The World. The thing is, he’s not literally trying to save the world. He’s trying to save the bowling alley that he manages called Winky’s World from closing down.

It actually looks like a charming indie comedy that some audiences might enjoy, especially if you’re a fan of Heder. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen him in anything, and this looks like a good role that fits his style.

Here’s the synopsis:

Jeff (Jon Heder) is the manager of an old-school bowling alley called Winky's World. Everyday he is the first to arrive and the last to leave. He has memorized the shoe sizes of community regulars and the quirks of his fellow employees. Routine is Jeff’s middle name,

The title is a fun play on the "save the world" idea because the name of the place he works is Winky's World and he wants to save it. Jon Heder (who played Napoleon in Napoleon Dynamite) stars as Jeff, with a full cast including Candi Milo, Jim O'Heir, Anna Konkle, Maya Erskine, Brendan Meyer, Steve Berg, and Richard Esteras. This looks quirky and low key entertaining, which should be an inspiring and refreshing break from all the Hollywood blockbusters this holiday season. Plus it's nice to see Heder again. Here's the

Pennywise Casts A Shadow Over This Creepy Fan-Made Trailer For It: Chapter Two

Pennywise isn’t expected to return until September of 2019, but in order to sate our appetite for sewer-dwelling clowns, YouTuber Stryder HD has served up the next best thing: a creepy fan-made trailer for It: Chapter Two that indulges in a little wishful thinking.

Sure, Jessica Chastain is said to be circling the role of Beverly Marsh, but this custom trailer goes one step further to cast the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal as Eddie Kaspbrak, Terrence Howard as Mike Hanlon, Patrick Wilson as Bill Denbrough, Infinity War‘s Chris Pratt as Ben Hanscom, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Richie Tozier and, finally, Jon Heder as Stanley Uris, who doesn’t take news of Pennywise’s return too kindly in Stephen King’s literary masterpiece.

If nothing else, it’s an exciting tease of what could be, though without any firm casting details out in the wild – you know, aside from those negotiations

6. Club Cringe – The Inbetweeners Movie (2011)

For some dancing isn’t easy, but in this case these guys make it look almost impossible. With the juxtaposition of Neil (Blake Harrison) flailing his limbs with some sort of rhythm next to Simon (Joe Thomas) jittering nervously and Will (Simon Bird) galloping his way to sheer embarrassment, this one hits the list for cringe factor alone. The final stage in this act results in Simon and Will choosing to copy Neil and if you ever think that Neil is the one to follow, you’re in the shit.
